The radiation dose involved in a single diagnostic X-ray is very low. Digital X-ray, as used at Sayee, operates at meaningfully lower exposure levels than conventional film-based systems. The dose from a chest X-ray, for context, is roughly equivalent to the natural background radiation a person absorbs over a few days of normal life.
Our equipment is maintained and operated in full compliance with AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) guidelines. Calibration checks and safety protocols are carried out as required under NABH standards.
Pregnant patients: Pregnancy safe X-ray protocols are maintained at Sayee. If you are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant, please inform our staff before the procedure. In many clinical scenarios, X-rays can still be performed safely with appropriate shielding, the decision will be made in consultation with your treating doctor.

What to Expect During Your Visit
The process is efficient and requires minimal preparation from the patient:
